Performance Rating

  • Summary - Rating: BSuitable for solar heat recovery systems using evacuated tube, flat-plate and thermodynamic solar-panels, where a non-toxic classification is preferred. Less efficient than Solaris DTX.

  • Efficiency - Rating: CMedium thermal conductivity and high viscosity at low temperatures, results in reduced heat transfer efficiency compared with Solaris DTX.

  • Antifreeze - Rating: CCapable of providing freeze protection down to -50°C, subject to volume (concentration) used. More volume is required to achieve the same freeze-point protection, when compared with Solaris DTX.

  • Corrosion Control - Rating: AAll Solaris heat transfer fluids are formulated with extreme temperature rated reversibly-evaporisable inhibitors, which are suitable for evacuated tube, flat plate and thermodynamic solar panels.

  • Toxicity - Rating: AClassified as Non-Toxic. Suitable for systems where low-toxicity is stipulated or preferred.

Physical Properties

  • Density:1.02 - 1.15 g/cm³ depending on inhibitors

  • pH:7.5 - 9.0 depending on inhibitors

  • Boiling Point:>100°C

  • Characteristics:a clear, slightly viscous liquid. It is mildly sweet to the taste and has a non-pungent but characteristic aroma.

  • Available in: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 205 & 1000 litre containers and bulk tankers.

When measuring the percentage concentration of Solaris PGC in solution we recommend the use of a recently calibrated refractometer.
