Summary - Rating: BExcellent heat transfer and pumping characteristics, low toxicity but can prove a challenge to eliminate corrosion in some systems.
Efficiency - Rating: AExcellent heat transfer and pumping characteristics places LVF at the top of the efficiency tree, for all water-based antifreeze solutions.
Antifreeze - Rating: ADepending on concentration can provide freeze protection down to -60°C.
Corrosion Control - Rating: CCorrosive when in contact with air and only recommended for certain metals and closed loop pressurised systems.
Toxicity - Rating: BLD50 (Oral Rat) of 7,000 to 20,000 mg/kg body weight depending on concentration in water. Not FDA approved as a food additive, but can be considered food-safe and widely used in food & beverage cooling systems.
