A range of fully inhibited heat transfer fluids, with antifreeze function, for suitable use in Liquid Air Energy Systems (LAES). Coolflow products are installed in pre-heating systems of all sizes throughout the UK.
To prevent internal corrosion, scaling and biological fouling all Coolflow products are formulated with multi-metal and multi-function inhibitors, which exceed ASTM D1384 standards.
High Efficiency Non Toxic Antifreeze and Secondary Refrigerant for process cooling & AC systems. Based on Ethylene Glycol blended with patented DeTox™ additive and ASTM D1384 proven Corrosion, Scale and Biological Inhibitors.
Summary - Rating: ASuitable for food & beverage process cooling and other applications where a non-toxic classification is preferred. High efficiency and more cost effective than MPG based coolants.
Efficiency - Rating: BHigh thermal conductivity and low viscosity at sub-zero temperatures, results in increased heat transfer efficiency and reduced energy demands.
Antifreeze - Rating: AProvides protection down to -50°C and lower concentration (% volume) is required to achieve the same freeze-point protection, when compared with NTP, USP, ECO2 and ECO3.
Corrosion Control - Rating: ALong-Life formulation with synergistic corrosion inhibitors to exceed BS6580 and ASTM D1384 standards. Also contains broad-spectrum biological inhibitors and polyacrylates to prevent scale precipitation.
Toxicity - Rating: AClassified as Non-Toxic and Food-Safe. Suitable for food & beverage processing systems and where low-toxicity is stipulated. LD50 Oral Rat >20,000mg/kg body weight.
Density:1.04 - 1.15 g/cm³ depending on inhibitors
pH:7.5 - 9.0 depending on inhibitors
Characteristics:a clear, slightly viscous liquid. It is mildly sweet to the taste and has a non-pungent but characteristic aroma

Ecologically and Environmentally Friendly Non Toxic Antifreeze and Secondary Refrigerant for process cooling & AC systems. Based on Refined Vegetable Extracts and ASTM D1384 proven Corrosion, Scale and Biological Inhibitors.
Summary - Rating: BSuitable for systems where low environmental impact and ecological sustainability is preferred. Average efficiency but lower in cost compared with MPG based fluids.
Efficiency - Rating: CAverage thermal conductivity and high viscosity at sub-zero temperatures, results in reduced heat transfer efficiency and increased energy demands when compared with DTX, IGE and LVF.
Antifreeze - Rating: BProvides protection down to -50°C but more volume is required to achieve the same freeze-point protection compared with DTX, IGE and LVF.
Density:1.02 - 1.26 g/cm³
Characteristics:a clear, slightly viscous liquid. It is slightly sweet to the taste and has a non-pungent but characteristic aroma.
