SOLARIS PGC has been especially formulated
for use in Flat Panel and Evacuated Tube Solar Thermal Heating systems. It
is able to operate efficiently at ≤170°C for prolonged periods and withstand
temperatures of 200°C for short periods. It contains reversibly evaporisable
inhibitors that are capable of withstanding stagnation temperatures of 300°C
whilst protecting all metals used in Solar systems.
SOLARIS PGC also contains
a high temperature rated polyacrylate, formulated to prevent sludge precipitation
and scale formation. Thus promoting long operational life and high thermal
efficiency.
SOLARIS PGC mixtures are readily biodegradable
(90% over ten days) and will not remain in the environment or bio-accumulate.
SOLARIS PGC is miscible with water in all proportions
and can protect Solar Thermal Heating systems down to -50°C depending on concentration.
SOLARIS PGC exhibits super-cooling characteristics
and mixtures containing in excess of 50% by volume do not freeze solid, alleviating
any concern over possible expansion and burst damage.
SOLARIS PGC is a clear,
slightly viscous liquid. It is mildly sweet to the taste and has a non-pungent
but characteristic aroma.

As per BSRIA guide AG 1/2001.1 all pipe-work
systems should be clean and free from biological contamination prior to commissioning.
To minimise corrosion air* ingress and exposure
should be minimized. A pressurised system is best.
* Oxygen feeds the corrosion
process which consumes inhibitors.
SOLARIS PGC is a concentrate Heat Transfer
Fluid that can be diluted with a demineralised or UltraPure™ water, to achieve
various freeze protection temperatures. In order to maintain system integrity
only top-up with SOLARIS PGC.
Prior to dilution determine the system volume
and add sufficient SOLARIS PGC according to the minimum ambient temperature
expected.
E.g. 40% v/v SOLARIS
PGC will provide -20°C
protection, as might be expected for the UK mainland.
50% v/v SOLARIS PGC will
provide -30°C protection, as might be expected for the Scottish Highlands.

Shelf Life: 3 years when stored in sealed containers
out of direct sunlight.
Available in: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 205 & 1,000 litre
containers and in bulk tankers.
