PURACHEM HSC3 can be used as a pre- commission pipe-work cleanser. It is ideal for use when implementing a chemical cleaning policy, such as BSRIA AG1/2001.1*.

PURACHEM HSC3 is suitable for use in various systems, including; Process Cooling, HVAC, Geothermal and Air Source Heat Recovery.

PURACHEM HSC3 can be used to help restore contaminated systems to their original condition. For example after;

• Light to medium bacteria or algae activity
• cross contamination via a process leak
• mud or silt entry via a broken pipe

PURACHEM HSC3 is also suitable for cleaning out food processing vessels in dairies etc.



PURACHEM HSC3 can be supplied in concentrate and in dilute form. The standard concentration requires 25 litres per 1,000 litres of system volume. At this strength lightly contaminated systems can be cleansed in a single stage.

The following procedure, applied in conjunction with the appropriate engineering methods,* will maximise the capabilities of PURACHEM HSC3;

1. Drain existing system contents. Be sure to empty all ‘dead-legs’ and open any vents to ensure total drainage.
2. Refill with fresh water and the appropriate volume of PURACHEM HSC3 (see above).
3. Vent the system of any trapped air.
4. Recirculate for a minimum of two hours and a maximum of 24 hours. Regularly check all filters and clean as necessary.
5. Repeat 1.
6. Refill with fresh water.
7. Repeat 3.
8. Recirculate for one hour and then take a sample. Test sample to confirm all biological contaminants have been neutralised.
9. Repeat 1.
10. Refill with required strength of inhibited heat transfer fluid and good quality fresh water.
11. Repeat 3.
12. Re-commission the system and take a second sample for detailed lab analysis. Please refer to the SUREFLOW Fluid Maintenance Program for more information on planned maintenance etc.

PURACHEM HSC3 is a blend of Quaternary Ammonium Compound (QAC Biocide), Non-Ionic Surfactant and water to suit the strength required.
