PURACHEM
FRB21 is a fast acting non-oxidising biocide combined with an effective
bio-dispersant. It has been especially formulated to rapidly neutralise
a broad spectrum of bacteria and algae, as found in some cooling and
heating systems. |

- Fast Acting • Non-Oxidising, Non-Corrosive
- Can be added to existing system fluids
- Effective
neutralisation of bacteria & algae
- Excellent suspension of particulates
- Hard water
tolerant
- Can be disposed of to grey-water drain
- Easy to
handle and straight forward to use
- Cost effective and improves heat transfer
rate
PURACHEM FRB21 is suitable
for use in various systems, including; Process Cooling, HVAC, Geothermal and
Air Source Heat Recovery.
PURACHEM FRB21 can be used as a post-commission
biocide to neutralise any bacteria or algae that may have retrospectively entered
the system.
PURACHEM FRB21 can be used as a pre- commission
biocidal cleanser. It is suitable for use when implementing a chemical cleaning
policy, such as BSRIA AG1/2001.1.*
PURACHEM FRB21 can be
supplied in concentrate and in dilute form. The standard concentration requires
5 litres per 2,000 litres of system volume. At this strength lightly contaminated
systems can be neutralised in a single stage.
Post-Commissioning;
- Take a fluid sample before dosing to confirm
the level of any existing biological activity.
- Add PURACHEM FRB21 at a
ratio of 5 litres per 2,000 litres of system volume. To ensure effective
mixing with the existing system fluid, dose PURACHEM FRB21 using a proportional
dosing pump.
- Take a fluid sample three days after dosing
to confirm all biological activity has been neutralised.
Pre-Commissioning;

- Vent the system of any trapped air.
- Recirculate
for a minimum of two hours and leave to ‘stand’ for a minimum of 3 days.
- Drain all fluids before refilling with the
required concentration of inhibited heat transfer fluid and good quality
water.
- Take a sample three days after commissioning
to confirm all biological activity has been neutralised.
