COUPON CORROSION RACKS Hydratech Coupon Corrosion Racks (CCR) provide a simple and convenient means of monitoring corrosion within closed loop cooling systems. When used in conjunction with CoolFlow specialist coolants and the Coolant Maintenance Program (CMP) they help to minimise; coolant leakage, costly repairs and shutdowns. CCR’s are usually plumbed in on a side-stream arrangement that can be isolated from the main cooling line. The corrosion coupons are periodically removed for either visual inspection or laboratory weighing. For low temperature systems PVC-U components are used and 316 grade stainless steel for high temperature systems. Pipe diameters vary between 1” to 2” depending on flow rates.
